**Poke again**
I could do this forever, you know. Hello again, long dormant repository of most of my thoughts, many of my feelings and 90% of my young creativity. And all of this before Substack, Medium and professionally written/AI edited articles were a thing.
I am afraid I don't quite know how this works anymore. So, for "inspiration", I turned back to what 19 year old Shruti was writing about in her very first post. Oh. She was lazy, procrastinating on her Digital Electronics exam and ranting about spam and the small inbox size of her (Yahoo and Hotmail) inboxes?
Baby girl, I don't know what to say other that there was a shining decade in the middle where you had an almost limitless mailbox, controllable spam and good content on the interwebz. All of the dystopia you were reading and scoffing at - they have all come true in the most stupid way possible. If there is a multiverse out there, you might not have ended on one of the good branches.
And yes, we have come full circle. Your old Gmail account (by the way, good job getting your @firstnamelastname on most mail and social media accounts) is now 15 GB and 87% full and the cost of upgrades still comes as a pop-up. What IS it that they say about things coming full circle and Google's ethos being "Don't be Evil"? One of them expired in 2015.
Soooo, for the update. For the first time in my life, I find myself in the position of not having anything to immediately do. This is something my alter ego (Achievement Girl, I guess) is finding incredibly hard to grapple with. I know, it's something I need to work on. My family thinks I "need to relax" and I have a long list of things I would like to do. This small piece of blog history, I guess, is one of those things.
And now for something completely different.
What do you call an egg that is also a bulb?
I don't know, but is it the birth of a really good idea?
